You can use the Clarkson IP-IPX packet driver to empliment the
packet driver standard over IPX under netware. It is only requires
the IPX driver to be loaded, and does not care about the hardware.
You can find them almost any where via anonymous FTP.
Try ftp.clarkson.edu...

Subject: How do you print errors returned by WinSock routines?
I'm porting the Kerberos client software to Windows, using WinSock 1.1.
On Unix, when a sockets routine returns an error, to report the error
to the user, the code can just call perror().
In WinSock, it has its own errno (WSAGetLastError) and its own set of
error numbers. But there appears to be no portable way to get a printable
string associated with an error number! I could code up a table of
error strings and numbers myself, by copying from winsock.h, but:
(1) It seems an awful waste for every app author to do this.
(2) If a WINSOCK.DLL adds additional nonstandardized error codes,
there's no way to print out what they mean.
Do common WinSock applications just tell the user, "Error 10034, sorry"?
What is the correct, general and portable solution?

Does anyone have the complete address for CICS or one of it's mirrors? I don't
have my connection list with me and I would like to try this. I just struck
out with Pegasus since it uses POP to receive mail just like Eudora. If anyone
else knows any other options I would also appreciate hearing about them.
Thanks.

Subject: QVTNet and landscape printing
I've tried to get QVTNet to print in landscape mode,
but the only way I can do this is by changing the default
printer settings in control panel to landscape.
It totally ingores any chages you make in QVTNet.
Has anyone got a cure for this ?
The version of QVTNET is 3.94, is it cured in a later release ??
Thanks
Matt

Subject: Is there a telnet program for....
The only Telnet program that I've found that recognizes the port part
(#.#.#.# XXXX) of the IP addresss is Telw (the telnet program that came with
winsock). Telw is not only a really simple program but it's useless because
Telw doesn't have any Terminal Emulation. I want to be able to mud with out
having to first telnet to somewhere else but it's hard to mud without the
being able to backspace! Is there such a program? If so PLEASE let me know
what it's called and where I can get it. I'm even willing to pay (although I
prefer not to =) ).
